Dr. Alyssa A. Sceppaguercio is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) in New York and Florida and the founder of Mindful Path Mental Health Counseling PLLC. She holds a PhD in Mental Health Counseling and is an EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).

Her clinical areas of specialization include complex trauma, dissociation, PTSD, identity development, and athlete mental health. She works with adults from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ clients and collegiate and professional athletes, while also providing EMDR consultation to clinicians and educational and speaking engagements for professional communities and organizations.

With more than a decade of experience across private practice, psychiatric rehabilitation, higher education, and collegiate athletics, Dr. Sceppaguercio brings an integrative and relational approach to her work. Her practice incorporates person-centered care, trauma-informed principles, multicultural awareness, and evidence-based interventions while remaining responsive to each individual’s needs, identities, experiences, and goals.
