Alyssa A. Sceppaguercio, PhD, LMHC-D
Dr. Alyssa A. Sceppaguercio is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) in the State of New York (#009199) and Florida (TPMC7271) and the founder of Mindful Path Mental Health Counseling PLLC. She holds a PhD in Mental Health Counseling and is an EMDR Certified Therapist, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Her clinical work centers on complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and the intersecting identities that shape mental health and well-being.
With more than a decade of experience across private practice, psychiatric rehabilitation, higher education, and collegiate athletic departments, Dr. Sceppaguercio integrates person-centered care, multicultural awareness, and evidence-based interventions to support clients in reclaiming safety, resilience, and self-trust.
Her practice is grounded in the American Counseling Associationโs 2014 Code of Ethics and offers a culturally affirming, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and trauma-informed space for healing. She is deeply committed to fostering authentic, collaborative therapeutic relationships that honor each individualโs lived experience and healing process.
